At Stan Hunter Boatbuilder we offer a full range of
services for wooden boats, including refinishing,
new bottoms, custom work, mechanical, restoration and rentals.
Much of our business is based on referrals and repeat
customers. Stan’s familiarity with many of the classic
boats in the Muskoka region enables him to broker the
occasional craft as well.
Ours is a traditional boatbuilding shop. We avoid
fibreglass and quick modern techniques in favour of
the skilled workmanship and materials that were used
when these boats were built. Our extensive training and
long experience allow us to employ these traditional
boatbuilding skills in a manner that is also competitive
— in both price and quality — with anyone else in
the business in Canada and the U.S.
